The world's showcase for ultra-luxury hospitality — sail-shaped icons, private beaches and desert silence an hour from the skyline.

Destination Magazine
Dubai concentrates more Ultra-Luxury and Iconic-Luxury candidates than any other city in the Sage library. Jumeirah and the Palm hold the beach resorts; Downtown and DIFC hold the towers, the Opera district and the finest hotel dining rooms; the Creek and Al Fahidi preserve the trading-port past. October to April is the season — warm days, comfortable evenings, brunch culture at full tilt. Summer is extremely hot (45°C+) and best spent indoors or at resort pools. Visitors should know that local laws differ materially from Western norms on alcohol (licensed venues only), public conduct, photography of people and government buildings, and prescription medicines; review official guidance before travel. Ramadan changes hours and etiquette across the city.
